Everything you need to know about the CloudBookMod modules for NewBook — from your first order to day-to-day operations.
Getting started
CloudBookMod is an independent third-party shop that sells extension modules for the NewBook hotel platform. We build and maintain modules that plug into your existing NewBook account through the official NewBook API, adding functionality that is not included in a standard NewBook subscription — for example advanced revenue optimisation, additional OTA distribution channels, accounting-system integration and custom analytics dashboards.
Yes. Every CloudBookMod module is an extension to NewBook, never a replacement. You need an active, paid NewBook subscription with API access enabled on your plan. Modules authenticate against your NewBook account using your NewBook API credentials and operate on top of your existing NewBook data.
No. CloudBookModMod Pty Ltd is a fully independent third-party company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of NewBook Pty Ltd or any of its parent companies. NewBook is a registered trademark of NewBook Pty Ltd. CloudBookMod builds modules that use the publicly available NewBook Cloud API.
Sign in to your NewBook account and go to Settings → Integrations → API Access (the exact path can vary between NewBook releases). Generate a new API key and copy it immediately — NewBook typically only reveals the full key once. Then paste it into your CloudBookMod account settings. See our guide 'How to access your NewBook account' for the full walk-through.
API access in NewBook depends on your NewBook subscription. Not every NewBook plan includes API access by default. Contact NewBook directly to confirm that your current plan includes API access, or to upgrade to a plan that does. CloudBookMod cannot grant or change NewBook API access — that is entirely controlled by NewBook.
Purchase and billing
After you place an order you will receive a secure payment link by email within 5 minutes. Click the link and complete payment on the secure page. Modules are activated as soon as payment is confirmed. Billing is monthly — you will receive a new payment link each month, or your saved payment method will be charged automatically if you have set one up.
Every CloudBookMod price is quoted in Australian dollars (AUD). If you are based outside Australia your bank may apply a currency conversion fee. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout based on your billing country: 10% Australian GST for domestic customers and 15% New Zealand GST for New Zealand billing addresses under the remote-services rules.
Yes. Every invoice issued in Australian dollars is a compliant GST tax invoice in the name of CloudBookModMod Pty Ltd (ABN: 82 743 951 268, 156 Collins Street, Level 12, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia). Tax invoices show our ABN, the pre-tax amount, the GST payable and the total in AUD, and are compatible with a Business Activity Statement claim.
Yes. You can cancel any module subscription at any time from your CloudBookMod Client Area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No cancellation fee applies. See the Refund Policy for pro-rata refund terms in the middle of a period.
Bundle pricing is available for orders of 3 modules or more. Get in touch at support@cloudbookmod.org before placing your order to request a bundle quote. The discount is applied as a credit on your next invoice.
Technical and support
We monitor the NewBook API changelog and test every module against each NewBook API release. When a breaking change is detected we update the affected module and ship a compatibility fix, typically within 48 hours of the NewBook API change. You will receive an email notification if a module is temporarily unavailable due to an API update. No billing occurs during confirmed downtime caused by third-party API changes.
Your NewBook API key is stored encrypted at rest with AES-256 inside the CloudBookMod infrastructure. It is transmitted only over TLS 1.3. It is never shared with third parties, never logged in clear text and never visible to CloudBookMod support staff. You can revoke access at any time by deleting the key from your CloudBookMod account settings, which also immediately revokes API access for every active module.
Email support is available at support@cloudbookmod.org, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 AEST/AEDT (Melbourne). Average first response is under 4 business hours. For getting-started support, in-app guided setup flows are available in your Client Area for every module. See also the Guides and Academy sections of this site for self-serve documentation.
Yes. You can connect several CloudBookMod modules to the same NewBook account using one API key. Inside your CloudBookMod account settings the API key is stored once and shared across every connected module. For Multi-Site users, each NewBook property needs its own API key — one key per NewBook account.
CloudBookMod modules read reservation and rate data from NewBook through the API in order to execute each module's function (for example, generate rate recommendations or pre-fill guest-portal data). This data is processed transiently and is not permanently stored in CloudBookMod infrastructure beyond the operational retention windows described in the Privacy Policy and the DPA. No guest payment-card data is ever accessed or stored.
